We have reached the maximum number of guest allowed for this tour!  We apologize but no more guest will be allowed, those who signed up will be coming on this tour.

This guided tour will begin with an introduction by members of the port of Los Angeles and the team that has worked on the GE Port Optimizer™, they will lead the overview of the program and will answer questions from the audience.
We will explore one of the terminals on foot and have a look at the everyday operations of the port.
We will also tour the port by boat, looking at the massive scale of the incoming shipments as they come to dock.  This will tie in with the implementation of the Port Optimizer™ and looking forward at the future and viability of the port.

About the Port of Los Angeles
The Port of Los Angeles, America’s Port® and the premier gateway for international commerce, is located in San Pedro Bay, 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. This thriving seaport not only sustains its competitive edge with record-setting cargo operations, but is also known for groundbreaking environmental initiatives, progressive security measures, diverse recreational and educational facilities, and emerging LA Waterfront. It features 27 passenger and cargo terminals, including automobile, breakbulk, container, dry and liquid bulk, multi-use, and warehouse facilities that handle billions of dollars’ worth of cargo each year.

Port Optimizer™
GE's Port Optimizer is a cloud-based solution that enables ports and the supply chain to operate more efficiently and helps cargo owners bring their goods to market in a more predictable and timely manner. Integrating data from across the port ecosystem, combining machine learning and deep domain expertise, it helps the port supply chain monitor and respond to dynamic conditions, align people and resources, and proactively communicate across functions-- enabling maximum port throughput and delivery performance.
