Stratasys Direct Manufacturing

The San Fernando Valley Chapter of APICS is proud to invite you to an early morning tour of the leading company in 3D printing and additive manufacturing.  Stratasys is publicly traded on NASDAQ, with a market cap of $1.10 Billion and recently named top 3 in the world of 3D printing by

The 3D manufacturing market, is rapidly growing and it’s predicted to grow to $30 Billion by 2022.  Additive manufacturing has opened the possibilities of manufacturing by reducing time to market, reducing cost, improving design options including the use of CAD, and a flexibility of materials. The design freedom of additive manufacturing removes traditional manufacturing constraints and opens new opportunities for tool configuration.

Statasys has been in business since 1988, and currently provides solutions to industries such as aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, dental and medical.

In 2014, Stratasys acquired Harvest Technologies & Solid Concepts, two of the most respected and successful service providers in the U.S.
Combined with [Stratasys owned] Redeye, the consolidated operation, called Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, is one of the most formidable, diversified service providers in the world.

The Tour

“At our facility you will see multiple technologies that include SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), SLA (Stereolography), PJ (PolyJet), FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), our Cast Urethane department, and our finishing capabilities.  I will generally discuss the process itself and how we post-process the parts.  We will be walking between two of our warehouses and making a quick stop between to see our showroom for the parts we print from only Stratasys’s machines.  We have 7 locations and not all our capabilities are at our facility but luckily for you we have more than any other single facility.” Joe Marino, Regional Account Manager.

Please Note

Restriction:  This tour is only open to U.S. citizens, due to the ITAR certification of the facility.  Identification will be required when entering the facility (ID or passport).  If you’re not a U.S. citizen and wish to attend, you can come to the presentation and showroom, but you will not be allowed on the production floor.
