This course is part 1 of a 2-part series intended for Operations and Supply Chain professionals who want to improve their knowledge and skills in Operations and Supply Chain Management, gain practical knowledge and skills that can be used immediately in their job and master the APICS Body of Knowledge terminology and concepts with the intent to pursue certification. There are no pre-requisites for this course. 

The basic concepts in managing the complete flow of materials in a supply chain from suppliers to customers are covered in Part 1. This module covers manufacturing, distribution, service, and retail industries. This includes the fundamental relationships in the design, planning, execution, monitoring, and control that occur.  Register at PDC

APICS Principles of Inventory and Distribution

February 27 Wednesdays 5:30-9:30 10 weeks ending May 5, 2019

APICS Recognized CPIM Instructor:  Paul Fidler, CPIM

This course provides participants with an operational knowledge and understanding of inventory and distribution management principles and techniques, replenishment policies, conducting physical inventories and cycle counts as well as inventory performance measurement.
Basic method of planning and controlling inventory in manufacturing, institutional distribution and retail environments are studied. Questions on what and how much to stock are addressed through an examination of current and evolving technologies of inventory management.

Raising the Bar on Supply Chain Management

The APICS San Fernando Valley Chapter is offering CPIM, CSCP and Principles courses with partners Professional Development Center and College of the Canyons.  In House classes are available for companies who have multiple departments who need instructor based training.  Courses and seminars on Lean, Cycle Counting and Inventory Management are all delivered by APICS recognized instructors.
