Have you ever wondered what it takes to move goods around the world? Ever thought about taking on that challenge yourself, as an owner of a freight forwarding company? Or, do you just want to better understand the regulations in freight forwarding? Join us for our PDM discussing exactly that...how to set up your own freight forwarding firm.

In this PDM, Kim Daniels discusses the gargantuan task of setting up an international transportation company, the pitfalls of regulation, and how exciting, yet terrifying, it all can be. So, before you make your next move, interview for that new job, or take that promotion, find out all the stuff you will need to know.

This will be a great presentation for those interested in international trade, logistics, freight forwarding, or just a general interest in the subject.  The discussion will involve day-to-day operations, capital expenditure, it will also touch on how the media and politics affects the industry, and much more.

About our Speaker: Kimberly Daniels has more than ten years of professional experience in international logistics.  She got her B.A. in Humanities, from the University of Maryland University College in 2005, her Masters in Business Administration from Kaplan University in 2010, and a Master of Science in Law from Champlain University in 2017. She is currently the CEO of Mercantile Logistics & International Trade, Inc., a small business that focuses on the international trade needs of other small businesses. As a licensed and experienced customs broker, Kim is astute to the regulations imposed by the US Government for goods crossing the border. As a small business owner, she is keenly aware of the needs of small businesses to operate efficiently and effectively, creating her own programs to smooth costs for clients in providing required customs services. Kim holds a Certificate in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) from APICS and is a member of the Nevada District Export Council.

No-shows who do NOT cancel at least 3 days before the event, will be billed for their meal.
