APICS Membership Dues Structure

Membership in APICS provides access to a global network of supply chain and operations management professionals. APICS members typically improve their on-the-job performance, advance in their careers, and thrive as supply chain and operations management professionals in today’s highly competitive workplace. The focus for the San Fernando Valley Chapter is on developing professionals, through education, certification, and networking. As an APICS member you are eligible for membership discounts for our Chapter’s educational programs and seminars, certification review classes, professional development meetings, etc., as well, as discounted prices on educational materials at the APICS bookstore.

Membership Options:

Professional Membership: Dues for “professional members” are $200 per year. To qualify as a professional member you must be working in operations management or a related field and reside within the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Note: Be sure and indicate on the application that you want to be affiliated with the San Fernando Valley Chapter. Academic Professional: Dues for “academic professionals” are $75 per year. To qualify as an “academic professional” you must be employed full-time by one or more accredited academic institutions in one of the following roles: professor, dean, assistant professor, lecturer, researcher, or an equivalent title (Adjunct professors or consulting instructors are not eligible for academic membership). Young Professional (e-Membership): Dues for “young professional” members are $100 per year. To qualify as a young professional you must have graduated from an accredited college within the last 2 years, (verified by a college transcript showing previous full-time-student status), or have been a member of a student chapter. Note: A student who is currently a member of a student chapter will automatically become a young professional member upon graduation. Your young professional membership will be valid for 1 year. Student Membership: Dues for Student members are “free”. To qualify as a “student member” you must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university and submit a current college transcript confirming full-time student status. Your APICS membership remains active even if you change schools. To learn more about student membership contact membership@apics-sfv.org

Enterprise (Corporate) Membership: APICS offers organizations with at least 25 enterprise professional members the opportunity for additional savings. “Enterprise professional” members receive full membership privileges, including: member publications and resources, access to the members-only content on the APICS website, and savings on APICS educational products and services. e-membership option: Once your organization has 25 enterprise professional members ($200 each), an unlimited number of enterprise e-members can be added for an additional $125 per member. Membership Extension Programs:

Retired professional: Dues for “retired professional” members are $100 per year. To apply for a retired membership, you must be age 62 or older, retired from formal employment and have been an APICS chapter member for a minimum of five years. Retired membership requires approval from the member's local chapter president on an annual basis. Unemployed Membership Extension: If you are an unemployed APICS member whose membership is coming up for renewal and you are actively seeking work within the production and inventory management field, you may apply for an extension of membership benefits through the unemployed membership extension program. This program enables members seeking employment within the production and inventory management industry to extend their membership for “free” for an additional six months. You may apply for this extension up to three times for coverage over an 18-month period. Members must apply for the extension through their local chapter, which must approve the request and waive chapter dues. Members approved for this waiver will receive an e-membership for the duration of the waiver, which includes access to all member benefits which will be delivered electronically. Military Benefit Extension: Members called to serve in the military may request a free, six-month extension of benefits through the military benefit extension program. Members whose reserve commitments are activated qualify for this extension of benefits. Members approved for this waiver will receive (e-membership) for the duration of the waiver, which includes access to all member benefits which will be delivered electronically.
